Typical Sizing

CR Minerals employs statistical process control (SPC) to assure that its Navajo Brand®, SafSil®, and PFM (Pumice Filtration Media)® pumice products are properly sized on a consistent basis. During production, sizing of Navajo Brand® products is continually tested by our trained quality assurance personnel using automatic sampling equipment. Particle size testing is then performed following ASTM C-136 methods in our modern quality control laboratory. During production, the fineness of our SafSil® products is assured by use of in-line laser diffraction equipment and frequent verification testing using laboratory laser diffraction equipment.

Each pallet is sampled twice before shipment to make sure that the sizing actually packaged meets the sizing requirements of our customers.
