The Company started operation in 1948 with a production facility in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Reserves located west of Espanola, NM were acquired in 1997. These reserves are capable of sustaining CR Minerals for a minimum of 40 years.
In 1999, CR Minerals Company, LLC was acquired by IMin Partners, a private equity capital fund dedicated to investing in specialty minerals and chemical businesses (www.iminpartners.com).
In 2006, a new state-of-the-art processing plant located in Ohkay Owingeh, NM was commissioned, replacing the Santa Fe facility. The new processing plant offers production capacity more than three times that of the Santa Fe facility, and was designed for maximum flexibility and an ability to monitor Statistical Process Control throughout the manufacturing process. This insures that CR Minerals will ship the highest and most consistent quality pumice products available anywhere.
CR Minerals produces high quality pumice grades ranging in size from 1–1/4 inch to pulverized five micron median particle size powders. These products serve the exacting needs of many and diverse markets.
CR Minerals markets its products directly and thru a worldwide network of distributors. This assures prompt delivery and a high level of customer service.
